There’s a brand new Encanto experience coming to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Encanto (2021) has quickly become one of Disney’s most popular animated films, rising to the ranks of 2016’s Frozen and MoanaTelling the story of the Colombian Madrigal family, Encanto was a success with kids and adults alike, with a soundtrack full of hit songs and a relatable main character in Mirabel.

The film’s success hasn’t been missed by Disney, with an Encanto-inspired expansion being rumored at several locations across Disneyland and Walt Disney World. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has taken over “it’s a small world” during seasonal events, and Mirabel meets and greets at the Fairy Tale Gardens in Fantasyland at Disney World and features in the Disney Friends Calvacade that runs throughout the park.

However, it seems as though Disney is looking to expand the Family Madrigal with a new experience coming to Walt Disney World. In a casting call posted by Disney Live Entertainment, the company is looking for submissions for a “limited time offering” coming soon to the resort. The posting was shared online by insider Scott Gustin and states the park is looking for “two male or female-presenting hosts who sing, demonstrate exceptional storytelling, and, most importantly, can captivate the audience with their infection and high-energy personalities…Bilingual skills are a plus!”

Although the posting doesn’t specify what the roles are for, it seems as though there may be an Encanto-inspired sing-along show, similar to the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Considering the posting is for two “hosts” who can sing and tell stories, it’s not a far reach to assume that Encanto may be replacing Frozen at Hollywood Studios sometime soon.

However, an Encanto experience has been rumored for Disney’s Animal Kingdom for years, including speculation that the film would take over the current DinoLand U.S.A. area. It’s possible that Animal Kingdom could be looking to expand their entertainment offerings with a sing-along, especially considering the popularity of the Frozen show.

There’s also speculation it could be a brand-new show coming to EPCOT over the summer to fill the empty time between the International Flower & Garden Festival, which ends in May, and the International Food & Wine Festival, which doesn’t start until July. EPCOT has often featured fun and exciting limited offerings at the American Gardens Theater, including Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live! in 2019.

Without any official project announcement from Walt Disney World, fans and guests can really expect just about anything at this point. Given Encanto’s popularity with audiences, it was only a matter of time before the parks featured the film more significantly in some way. While there also isn’t an expected date for the show, it looks most likely to debut during the summer, so make sure to plan accordingly!
