When it comes to accidents and guest safety, Disney does their best to ensure that nothing of the sort ever happens.

When it comes to safety, we have certainly seen the theme parks ramp up their security as of late. Now, guests who are looking to bring in certain filming equipment, like microphones, are not being let in, while that used to be a rule that they would let slide. We have also seen security catch guests attempting to bring in firearms a multitude of times. When an incident like this occurs, Disney ensures that the firearm is enlisted under the guests name, if it is, they can bring it back to their car, assuming it was a mistake and they forgot they had the weapon with them.

If the item does not belong to the guest, authorities will get involved.

Disney is continuing to actively ban guests who are causing disruptions and breaking the rules without care in order to protect the guest experience.

Typically, guests do not get seriously injured at Walt Disney World; however, it can certainly happen.

Recently, we reported on an injury near Test Track, “The incident occurred in March of 2023. According to the new report, the guest is seeking damages of approximately $50,000. A Walt Disney World Cast Member informed riders over the attraction’s intercom they had to exit the attraction. Guests disembarked the ride vehicle, which is when the guest “fell into a three-foot drop-off,” the lawsuit stated.”

According to the lawsuit, the guest suffered a “permanent injury.”

There was also a lawsuit that came to light after a guest was injured on a water slide in Typhoon Lagoon, as well as a guest being injured on Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.

However, a collision? Now that is not something that happens often.

Of course, the Walt Disney World Rail Road is at Magic Kingdom. This is an attraction that is able to bring guests around certain areas of the theme park, from Main Street, U.S.A. to Frontierland to Storybook Circus and more. When guests hop aboard this attraction, the trains are typically always going in the same direction as one another, so the only way a collision could occur would be to have one train rear-end another.

Thankfully, that was not the case.

Another option would be to have a monorail crash. Most recently, there was a monorail evacuation that had to occur following an explosion; however, no one was injured. In the case of this collision, monorails were also not involved.

Henry Taylor (@TGrahanMemories) shared a video of the train set in the Germany pavilion crashing just this week.

This train set is a miniature one that can be found in EPCOT, and is much more of a toy than anything. The train set is quite complex and has multiple moving vehicles transiting around at one time, but typically they do not collide.

It appears a setting malfunction is the likely cause of this collision. Thankfully, it was just a small toy incident, and not anything that caused real harm to guests.
