The Pixar Pals Parking Structure at Disneyland Resort reportedly shut down late Wednesday night after an alleged death. Bystanders reported a significant police presence on the top of the structure and indicated that the guest may have died by suicide.

Guests with cars in the Pixar Pals Parking Structure were permitted to access their vehicles, but not via the escalators at the front of the garage. All parking tram riders were dropped off at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and forced to walk through the back of Pixar Pals.

Reddit user u/Alythestar77 shared this photo from the top of the blocked-off parking area and recounted their experience exiting Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park during the incident:

Anyone know what happened at Pixar Pals parking lot tonight?

“All guests coming off trams were being directed to Mickey and Friends parking lot,” the guest wrote. “No one was allowed up Pixar Pals escalators so we had to walk all the way around. This is what we saw on the top level. 3 cop cars and a bunch of officers but no action.”

Other guests present Wednesday night shared their experiences.

“We tried to skip the trams and use the walkway but were turned away and instructed to go back to the tramway,” u/Key-Food-4005 said. “Everyone was also instructed to use the Mickey & Friends parking entrance. Thinking it must have been something really serious for it to warrant being completely closed off to public access.”

“Word is circulating that someone jumped,” u/Same-Bug1850 replied.

If true, it would be the third death at a Disneyland Resort parking structure in a year. In December of 2022, a man died by suicide at the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. He was later identified as Chris Christensen, an elementary school principal at Fountain Valley School District in Southern California.

In February of 2023, a woman named Marney Schoenfeld was found unresponsive at a Disneyland Resort parking garage. The death was later ruled a suicide. Family and friends remember her as a devoted mother and beloved hair stylist of more than twenty years.
