Home Depot is betting big on its Disney collaboration for the holidays. On top of releasing a gigantic Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, they are doubling down with a life-size Mickey Santa Claus animatronic. Considering how amazing both look, it might cause a war between Disney lovers trying to decide which suits their holiday needs better.

Mickey Mouse is arguably the most recognizable character in the world of animation. Since first appearing as Steamboat Willie in 1937, he has become Disney’s face and heart. The anthropomorphic mouse became a mainstay for animated film domination, bringing other beloved characters like Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck.

Though there are a host of products that fans can acquire featuring the beloved mouse, the Santa Claus Mickey Mouse is something that dedicated fans will surely want to get their hands on. This will be an excellent centerpiece for any Christmas home because it’s massive, moves, and reminiscent of the 1990s Mickey.

Home Depot Unveils 4-Foot Santa Claus Mickey Mouse

From the Twitter account of our friend, Scott Gustin, Disney has officially unveiled the first look at the 4-foot animatronic Santa Claus Mickey Mouse. Completely decked out in a complete Santa Claus outfit, the animated Mickey statue gives off friendly gestures and can be placed in storytime mode to recite some of the most classic Christmas carols. The Mickey decoration is also meant for inside use, as we imagine the circuitry could be at risk being outside.

Though we imagine most homes will have Christmas trees exceeding four feet, Santa Mickey would be the perfect addition to welcome everyone to open presents. The animatronic is not currently on sale until August, though many other Mickey Mouse products are available here. We will update this article with the link for the Mickey animatronic as soon as it becomes available.

The 13-foot-tall Jack Skellington retails for $399, which makes sense considering how massive it is. Though we imagine that Santa Mickey Mouse might not be that pricey, it could still fetch a high price, considering it’s fully animated and can speak. We imagine the price could be anywhere between $100-$500. This is just speculation.

Both items are perfect for Disney lovers, though spending upwards of $1000 for two decorations might not be plausible for those still wanting to shower their families with gifts.

If we are honest, the Santa Mickey Mouse might be better for those who want to appreciate their purchases more, as it is recommended for inside use. Unless you plan to sit outside and stare at the giant Jack Skellington, Mickey might be the wiser purchase. It is a one-of-a-kind look at the mouse.
