In the 1990s, Disney MGM Studios (now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios) hosted live television tapings of all kinds to further its mission of showing Guests the inner workings of the film industry. From 1993 to 1997, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) taped a series of matches at the Central Florida Disney Park before moving to Universal Orlando Resort. Guests could view the match wearing free WCW merchandise and even had the chance to be caught on camera!

On the DosandD Podcast this week, former celebrity bodyguard Wayne Mattei shared an anecdote from his time at Walt Disney World Resort with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Paul Wight, also known as Big Show. According to Mattei, Wight had a sexual encounter with a Disney Princess:

“The wrestlers used to share the catering with the Park people, the people that would dress up as characters,” Mattei explained. “Paul’s sitting there one day having something to eat… And then in walks Snow White.”
Mattei recalled that all the men stared at the Disney character actress in awe. Wight reportedly said, “Just leave it to the big boys, shall we?” and approached the Disney Cast Member.

“He starts chatting away to Snow White and all this. And the boys are all looking at him like, ‘Are you kidding me? This is just disgusting,’” Mattei laughed. “He’s putting it on, putting the moves on and all this. Long story short, he ends up in a boiler room with Snow White. Not going to go into detail.”
Wight hasn’t commented publicly on this encounter or confirmed its authenticity.
Did you ever watch the WCW tape at Disney MGM Studios?
*Editor’s note. Mattei incorrectly states that this incident occurred at Disneyland, though no WCW tapings occurred there.
