Rowling’s Harry Potter reunites for a special coming to HBO Max. We’re now seeing a first look photo of the famous Harry Potter trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione prior to the debut of Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.
It’s crazy to think that it has been a full 20 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone debuted in 2001. The success of the Harry Potter film franchise carried through now two decades later. So, what better way to celebrate the 20th year than with a Harry Potter reunion special?

Just recently, HBO Max released the first teaser trailer for the HBO special arriving on January 1, 2022. In case you missed it, here’s enticing the trailer below:
Now, HBO Max has revealed a first look photo at the reunion with the popular Harry Potter trio, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) sitting with one another. Check it out below!

The invitation you’ve been waiting for has arrived. “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” is coming to HBO Max on New Year’s Day. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson join other esteemed cast members across all eight Harry Potter films as they travel back to Hogwarts for the first time to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, which premiered 20 years ago this year. The retrospective special “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. The highly-anticipated retrospective will be a capstone event of the holiday season, dropping as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, on HBO Max.
We’re excited to see the first photo of Daniel, Emma, and Rupert… but there are many more Harry Potter stars you can expect to see during the reunion. Confirmed appearances will be made by Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), and Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood).
