Fans of outer space will be thrilled to catch a glimpse of the newly-refurbished and updated ride returning very soon to Disneyland Paris.
Disneyland Paris is an incredibly-magical place to visit when thinking of the international Parks that Disney has to offer. Featuring the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle and a fantastic collection of themed rides and attractions like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Crush’s Coaster, or its take on the classic Disney dark ride, The Haunted Mansion with Phantom Manor.
While these attractions are all incredibly fun and well-themed experiences, one ride at Disneyland Paris reaches for the stars and allows Guests to get a little closer to space than the others. Orbitron, located in the Discoveryland section of the Park, allows Guests to “Pilot their very own spaceship high in the sky above Discoveryland amid a gleaming universe of orbiting planets.”
This attraction sadly has been closed since January of 2021 due to an extended refurbishment, allowing Cast Members and Disney Imagineers to update the ride’s flooring, paint, and audio systems, which we recently covered. However, a recent stunning nighttime picture was snapped of it looking better than ever, just in time for its grand reopening, which is coming very soon.
Orbitron offers a similar experience to the Astro Orbiter, which is present at five Disney Parks and resorts across the country and world. AstroDLPReport (@DLPReport) shared an image of the freshened-up Orbitron on Twitter, and we couldn’t be more excited to ride it and take an exhilarating trip above Discoveryland in Disneyland Paris.
