As Walt Disney World continues with its 50th Anniversary celebration, we’re seeing more excitement unfold at one of our favorite Disney Parks… EPCOT! Disney has recently revealed a first look at the exterior of the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster scheduled to open in 2022. We’ve also been enjoying the four new neighborhoods transition at EPCOT, along with the fantastic new restaurant, Space 220. We are curious however as we have learned a popular EPCOT attraction is closing early on Tuesday, November 16, and Wednesday, November 17.

When the weather hits Orlando, Florida one of the EPCOT attractions we see go down regularly is the popular attraction, Test Track. As far as we are aware, the weather has nothing to do with this closure. The Walt Disney World Resort website is now showing Test Track will be closing at 7 pm November 16 and 17.

Check out the two screenshots of the Walt Disney World website above where you’ll see both November 16 and November 17 have Test Track closing at 7:00 pm even though EPCOT remains open until 10:00 pm. Why the closure? Disney has yet to provide a reason. No refurbishment is scheduled for the ride at this time. The attraction is listed to once again remain open until Park closing beginning Thursday, November 18.

The Walt Disney World website describes the popular EPCOT attraction with a chance to “Take the Ultimate Test Drive”:
“Cruise over to the gleaming Chevrolet Design Center to create your own virtual concept car. When you’re done, buckle up in a 6-passenger “SIM Car” and take it for an exhilarating spin on the test track. Rev through rough terrain and obstacles along the winding circuit. Accelerate through straightaways, maneuver switchbacks through inclement weather, hug curves banked at 50-degree angles and scale hills up to 3 stories high. Reach speeds of up to 65 miles per hour as you put your car through its paces. After each test, check the scoreboard to see how your vehicle performed!“

Does this unexpected early closure affect your day at EPCOT?
