On October 1, Walt Disney World Resort will kick off its massive 50th anniversary celebration. The festivities — dubbed The World’s Most Magical Celebration — will last an incredible 18-months, and there will be a ton of great new experiences for Guests to take advantage of during that time. One of those new experiences will be a brand-new attraction debuting at EPCOT: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will open on October 1, the day the celebration starts, but Guests will not simply be able to go to the attraction and wait in a standby queue. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will require all Guests wanting to ride to join a virtual queue and get a boarding group, which was, until recently, also required to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
The virtual queue for Ratatouille Adventure will open twice per day — once at 7 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Guests wanting to try to reserve a boarding group at 7 a.m. will need to have a valid theme park reservation to EPCOT for that day, but they can make the reservation from anywhere. Reservations will open again at 1 p.m., but Guests must be in EPCOT to obtain a reservation.
To join a virtual queue, Guests can open the My Disney Experience app and scroll down to Virtual Queues. From there, they can then click “Join Virtual Queue”. Guests can also open the MDE app, click on the three lines in the lower right corner and then click Virtual Queues and then “Join Virtual Queue”.
It is important to make sure that your theme park tickets are already connected to your My Disney Experience account before you try to join the queue. The virtual queue is sure to fill up fast once it opens, so making sure you have everything all uploaded and connected before you try to join will only enable you to go faster and hopefully get your boarding group. You can confirm your party in the morning beginning at 6 a.m. each day to make sure that everyone in your party is linked to your account and therefore you are able to obtain a boarding group.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will also become one of the attractions that will have Lightning Lane access when Disney launches the new Disney Genie program — although a start date has not been announced at this time. Lightning Lane will enable Guests to purchase a pass to skip the line to certain rides, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so Guests who do not have a boarding group will still have the chance to ride the attraction.
Will you be trying to get a boarding group to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when the attraction opens? Let us know in the comments!
