Columbia Harbour House — a Guest-favorite Quick Service restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park — just recently reopened to diners following its pandemic-related closure.

Now, it seems that the coastal-inspired restaurant is set to undergo some type of construction in the near future. Walt Disney World Resort officials recently filed two permits for the establishment — one for “General Construction” and the other to “Provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction”.
The first permit lists Smith, Broomfield & Howard Construction as the contractor, while the second names The Walt Disney Company’s own Buena Vista Construction Company.

While the descriptions on both permits are vague and could be for minor changes or a major refurbishment, it is clear that Columbia Harbour House will be undergoing some type of construction work in the near future. Disney has not announced a closure for the dining location, so it is, again, unknown just how extensive the project will be.
