Halloween events are back at Disney Parks in 2021!
At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Guests can enjoy Disney After Hours Boo Bash on select nights from August through October. And at Disneyland Resort in California, Guests can delight in the fun at Oogie Boogie Bash on select nights in September and October. Each of these events comes at a high price tag of well over $100, and whether you’re a local, Annual Passholder, casual fan, or the ultimate Disney fanatic, you may be lucky if you can attend one of these Halloween events in 2021.
Here’s why Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure is totally worth the price — and why we think it should be your Halloween event of choice, if you can only head to one Disney theme park Resort this fall.

Cost of a Ticket For Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash ticket prices will vary depending on the event date. Typically, weeknights are less expensive, weekends are more expensive, and the price increases the closer we get to Halloween (October 31). We see this trend with the Disney After Hours Boo Bash event at Magic Kingdom at Disney World this year.
Disney has stated that Oogie Boogie Bash ticket prices start at $114 per person, with the most expensive ticket being $169. For now, keep in mind that if you want to attend Oogie Boogie Bash for as low as $114 for a single ticket, you can do so, as long as you select a date that costs $114 when you purchase your tickets on July 13 or later.

How Many Hours You Can Spend in the Park
If you are paying at least $114 to get into Oogie Boogie Bash, you should know how many hours you can spend in the Park.
Keep in mind that Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party is held at Disney California Adventure Park, not Disneyland. So, with your event ticket, you are allowed admission into DCA, not Disneyland proper. When you show up to the Disneyland Esplanade on the date of your event, you will only be able to get into California Adventure — remember this!
According to the Disneyland website, Oogie Boogie Bash officially starts at 6 p.m. and runs through 11 p.m. on event nights. That means the Halloween party is five hours long. However, with your party ticket, you are allowed to begin entering Disney California Adventure Park at 3 p.m. That gives you an extra three hours in the theme park before the party officially begins!
Remember that from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the theme park will be occupied buy regular day Guests and Halloween party Guests as day Guests are finishing up their day at the Park and party Guests are just starting their night at the Park. But if you want to get the most out of the cost of your party ticket, then we highly recommend showing up early and lining up outside the DCA gates a little before 3 p.m. so that you can be among the first Oogie Boogie Bash Guests to enter the theme park as soon as Disney begins allowing pre-party mix-in to occur.
Oogie Boogie Bash Is Disney’s Best Halloween Party
In our experience attending Oogie Boogie Bash in 2019, the event was everything we could want in a Disney Halloween party. From rare character experiences to immersive treat trails to the one-of-a-kind Villains Grove experience — not to mention the unlimited candy and iconic Halloween parade — Oogie Boogie Bash has it all. The party completely immerses Guests in a spooky atmosphere unlike any other.
There is also a huge focus on the villains. This is a party hosted by the Oogie Boogie Man himself, after all! There is no shortage of villainous encounters at this event, and while there is still fun for the whole family and offerings that fans of all ages can enjoy, in our expeirence we found that this event (compared to other Halloween parties) has a great balance of fun for young kids, teenagers, and adults.
It has been two years since we have been able to experience Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, and there is no better way to celebrate the spooky season than by attending Oogie Boogie Bash. When we attended the event in 2019, we wrote an entire guide to Oogie Boogie Bash. Although World of Color will not be included in this year’s festivities, most of the other information we included in our guide remains relevant to 2021.
