Disney World recently announced that a number of its restaurants would be reopening to Guests once again. The popular Magic Kingdom hot dog spot Casey’s Corner, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort — complete with a Mary Poppins makeover — and Trail’s End Restaurant will all be opening in a matter of days and weeks.
One of those openings has unleashed some anger at Guests who took a look at its reopening menu. Trail’s End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort has removed one of its most popular dishes — the fried chicken — and people are not happy about it.
Twitter user The Churro Blog doesn’t understand why Trail’s End would open up without its signature fried chicken, as well as up charging for items that were once available without one.
Trails End is opening back up, but ribs and salmon are upcharges and no fried chicken. So what’s the point of even opening?

Keri (@OneGoldenSun) shared a picture of her adorable pup, saying that he needed his blanket to comfort him in the wake of the terrible news.
Not sure if Baxter needs his comfort blanket because of the storms or the lack of fried chicken at Trails End

Some users even pointed out that Disney has already made this mistake once. When Disney announced that ‘Ohana would be reopening on July 9, Guests noticed that ‘Ohana would not be serving its yakisoba noodle dish — the most popular dish on the menu. Fans were outraged and Disney quickly changed course and put the much-loved dish back on the menu.
Twitter user Brian Miller (@NateAmeliaDad) believes that Disney Guests have the power to bring back the fried chicken, the same way they were able to bring back the ‘Ohana noodles.
@WaltDisneyWorld we were able to convince you to bring back noodles at ohana what do we need to do now to get fried chicken back at trails end?

Heather (@heatherw25) even compared the classic chicken dish to an iconic Disney ride.
What’s the point of trails end without fried chicken? It’s like if they opened small world and all the dolls were removed

While Disney fans were able to get Disney to bring back the popular ‘Ohana noodle dish, there is no guarantee that fried chicken complaints will result in Trail’s End revising their menu. There is also not the same amount of outrage as there was over the ‘Ohana fiasco, so only time will tell if Disney will listen to this new round of menu requests.
Disney has not announced at this time whether the fried chicken change is one that is only temporary or will be permanent.
