Another popular Magic Kingdom dining location has received an opening date!
The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor will once again open its doors on Main Street U.S.A. to Guests beginning July 7.
Disney Parks Blog shared the exciting news on June 29.
Get ready to treat yourself to hand-scooped ice cream at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor hosted by Edys. This oh-so-sweet nostalgic ice cream parlor on Main Street, U.S.A., will open July 7 with all your favorite flavors on a cone or in a cup – fat-free and no sugar added, as well as plant-based non-dairy options will be available. And more sweet news: Barq’s Root Beer Floats and Coca-Cola Floats are back! Not sure it can get much better than that!
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor has always been a popular spot for Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom to get a cool treat on a hot day — or a cold day. Any day is a good day for ice cream. It gives Guests the nostalgic look of an old-school ice cream shop and serves everything from a variety of yummy flavors including strawberry and cookies n’ cream to delicious sundaes and ice cream sandwiches.
The Walt Disney World website describes the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor:
Indulge in hand-scooped ice cream at this sweetly nostalgic parlor on Main Street, U.S.A. Savor fresh waffle-bowl sundaes smothered in hot fudge! Fat-free and no sugar added options are also available.
The opening of the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor follows the opening of another popular Magic Kingdom eatery, which has also been closed. Casey’s Corner — located not too far from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the end of Main Street — will reopen on June 30. Both Casey’s and Plaza Ice Cream locations have been closed since the theme parks reopened last summer following the pandemic shutdown.
