Recently, Disney World debuted MagicMobile as an extra feature on the My Disney Experience app, and it looks like Annual Passholders just got a little extra magic sprinkled on their ticket options!
What MagicMobile does is give Guests to option to have everything run through their phones. This means that you do not need to bring a ticket, Annual Pass, or MagicBand to the Disney Park you plan on attending because all the information can be scanned in on your phone.
Just as Guests can customize MagicBands, they can customize their MagicMobile pass on their phone. Previously, Annual Passholders were able to choose from the same selection as other theme park ticket Guests, however exclusive Annual Passholder options were slim.
Now, it looks like the My Disney Experience app has added two new selections for Annual Passholder. As you can see below, Guests can now also have an Orange Bird MagicMobile pass or a Figment MagicMobile pass if they are an Annual Passholder. Surely, EPCOT fans must love the two new additions!
MagicMobile is also convenient for Guests who may forget their ticket or MagicBand at the hotel! I have been on many Disney Transportation buses to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom where one Guest discovers they forget their ticket or MagicBand at their hotel, and they have to turn around to get it.
By having MagicMobile, Guests can still choose to use their MagicBand; however, it is always reassuring to know that you have a backup ticket if something ever goes wrong!
Disney’s MagicMobile service is described as:
Available in the My Disney Experience app, Disney MagicMobile service is a convenient and more contactless way to access MagicBand features, like theme park entry, through the power of eligible iPhones, Apple Watch or Google Pay enabled Android phones.
Using Disney MagicMobile features, Guests can create a digital pass to link and access vacation entitlements, and it works like magic! Most features are available by holding up your eligible smart device near an access point, just as you do with a MagicBand. If you put your Apple device in Express Mode, you don’t need to unlock it in order to use a Disney MagicMobile pass.
Guests must have a valid park admission or Disney Resort hotel reservation linked to their Disney account to create a Disney MagicMobile pass.
Do you use MagicMobile when you visit the parks? Or do you prefer to scan a MagicBand or physical ticket?
