Ever since Disney World reopened the theme parks in July 2020 after the temporary closure due to the ongoing pandemic, the Monorail from EPCOT to the Ticket and Transportation Center has been suspended.
Once Park Hopping returned to Walt Disney World, many hoped the EPCOT Monorail would also return, however, this was not the case. Guests wishing to Park Hop to or from EPCOT must use either the Disney Skyliner or a Walt Disney World bus.
But as Disney continues modifying its operations as we move forward with the ongoing pandemic, will the EPCOT Monorail reopen? Well, one Disney Guest spotted Cast Members on the platform of the EPCOT Monorail and many hope this is a sign towards its return!
As seen in the video below, which was taken by Disney Guest and Annual Passholders – Walt Disney World Resort Facebook group member Hunter M., several Disney Cast Members were spotted heading up the EPCOT Monorail platform!
Though at this time Disney World has not announced when the EPCOT Monorail would return service to and from the Ticket and Transportation Center, many hope this to be a good sign.
Inside the Magic will continue to update you as we get information regarding the EPCOT Monorail. At this time, if you wish to Park Hop to or from EPCOT, please utilize the Disney Skyliner, which has transportation to Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or one of Disney World’s buses.
Additionally, the Monorail running from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Magic Kingdom is currently up and running.
Do you hope to see the EPCOT Monorail return soon? Let us know in the comments below.
