The Disney College Program is officially BACK as the first participants have been spotted inside the theme parks at Walt Disney World!
The Disney College Program was initially suspended as a result of both the temporary closure of Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Additionally, Disney Internships and Programs also announced that they could not move forward with the Fall 2020 Disney College Program last year.
However, now as the world moves forward amidst the ongoing pandemic, the first Disney College Program participants are being welcomed back into the theme parks at Walt Disney World for the first time in over one year!
Disney Parks took to TikTok to share a video celebrating this monumental moment, showing Disney College Program participant, Tobin Jace, enjoying EPCOT along with the caption:
OUR DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ARE BACK!!! ? #Disney #DisneyParks #DisneyWorld #CastMember #DisneyCastLife #DisneyCollegeProgram
This is such exciting news as the Disney College Program has had a long road due to the ongoing pandemic. In case you weren’t aware, the Spring 2020 Disney College Program ended abruptly when COVID-19 hit the United States and the theme parks had to temporarily close. Then, Disney had to make the decision to also cancel the Fall 2020 Disney College Program.
Now, as the world slowly gets back to “normal”, Disney World is eager to welcome back Disney College Program participants once again.
If you aren’t familiar, the Disney College Program is described as:
Discover a unique living and working environment with participants from all over the world. This program allows you to gain on-the-job experience with a world-renowned company, providing uniquely Disney learning experiences, all while preparing for your future, building transferable skills, including networking, problem solving, teamwork and effective communication.
