The Nod to Cars Land Inside Avengers Campus

When Avengers Campus opened on June 4 at Disneyland Resort, it held a number of artifacts inside that honored numerous Marvel films — from Captain America’s shield to Miles Morales’s graffiti tag by WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and parking spots for Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, and Jarvis. There is even a nod to A Bug’s Land, which used to inhabit the area.

However, A Bug’s Land is not the only area of the theme park that Avengers Campus pays tribute to. The fun detail can also be found near WEB SLINGERS on the old map of Avengers Campus. A picture of the full map is below.

Now, if we take a closer look, we can see that, by the WEB Suppliers store, there is a section of the map that is marked as “Scrap Yard”. That Scrap Yard is actually where Guests ride the fun Cars Land attraction, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree!

Located right next to Avengers Campus, Guests visiting Cars Land will first encounter Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree — a ride enjoyed by both kids and kids at heart.

Mater’s rounded up a herd of lively tractors for some old-fashioned square dancing out in his junkyard—and you’re invited to join the party.

Haul yourself into a tractor-trailer and hold on tight as it whips and whirls in “figure eight” moves around the dancefloor. Mater croons the tunes that keep this shindig swingin’ til you’re all tire-d out.

You’re guaranteed to have a wheel fun time!

The Avengers Campus is so detailed that it even shows how Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is split into two, where two groups of tractors dance to Mater’s songs and spin Guests back and forth and do-si-do.

The map also shows the grapevines from Disney’s Golden Vine Winery that grow across from Avengers Campus and the Mendocino Terrace where Disneyland Resort Guests can taste a variety of delicious California wines — although the map calls it the Stark Vineyards and Tasting Rooms.

To see these, as well as more incredible details, be sure to visit Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park. Both a valid theme park ticket and reservation are required at this time.
