We are getting closer to the reopening of Disneyland after a year-long closure. The days seem to be dragging on and going by so fast all at the same time!
As April 30 comes closer and closer, Disneyland is prepping its rides to once again hold Guests — Including the Mark Twain Riverboat.

This attraction was a large part of Disneyland’s opening in 1955 and will be a part of its 2021 grand reopening! Disney Parks shared a video of the beautiful white riverboat on TikTok:

While the Mark Twain Riverboat has been around since the opening of Disneyland Park, the Riverboat took its maiden voyage before the park officially opened. According to Disney Wiki Fandom, Walt and Lillian had a party for 300 Guests on the riverboat four days before the theme park opened to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.

More Disneyland rides prep for reopening
The Mark Twain Riverboat is not the only attraction that Guests have been given a sneak peek at ahead of Disneyland’s reopening. Disney Parks President Ken Potrock has been very active on Instagram showing Guests how the theme park and its Cast Members are preparing for the reopening.
Potrock first shared reopening prep on April 9 by showing Guests the rocket ship ride, Space Mountain, which was receiving plexiglass barriers as one safety precaution.

Additionally, the Disneyland President also shared pictures of Cast Members in front of The Haunted Mansion, which in case you missed it, received some updated elements that you can read more about here, as well as a photo of himself standing on the shimmering and newly painted King Arthur Carrousel.
From Disney Parks TikTok and Disneyland President Ken Potrock sharing all sorts of videos and photos about Disneyland’s grand reopening, it is clear that Guests are not the only ones who are counting down the days until the theme park welcomes everyone back. In fact, Disneyland has a giant countdown clock that is counting down the days, hours, and minutes until they can say “To all who come to this happy place, welcome back!”, which Potrock shared to his Instagram, too.

The iconic Partner’s statue is also getting a spruce up. Disney Parks shared a video on TikTok showing the new flowers being planted around the statue that is central to Disneyland theme park.
Guests have loved being kept up to date on all the action happening in the park, from Space Mountain to The Haunted Mansion, and now the Mark Twain Riverboat! It will be an amazing moment full of smiles and probably some tears when Guests can stop looking at photos and see all of these amazing attractions in person.
