After the huge reveal that Universal Orlando Resort would continue construction on Epic Universe was announced, many Universal fans (like myself) have been waiting for the other shoe to drop, which would be the official opening day for Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

Universal has been teasing Epic Universe’s return on social media for quite some time now, but it has been nothing in comparison to the hype they are building for VelociCoaster. It is almost a daily occurrence that the Universal Orlando Twitter account drops a hint or Easter egg about the attraction, and future riders are just patiently waiting for something to come of it.

The good news about VelociCoaster is that the Jurassic World IP (which is located in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure) is progressing at incredibly fast speeds. It seems that only finishing touches such as some extra paint is all that is left for the coaster, and human testing is well underway.

We have previously reported that VelociCoater was testing with people riding in the past. It seems that VelociCoaster has had its raptor run with humans on board twice — once for filming purposes, and once with what appeared to be Universal Orlando executives. Stephen Spielberg also gave the coaster his blessing! Now, it seems that there are people aboard the coaster once again!

Journalist Ashley Carter (@AshleyLCarter1) snapped a photo of people riding the coaster noting:

All the riders aboard are dressed quite casually and look like Guests, but it has not been noted exactly who was riding and why. Carter continued to post more VelociCoaster content to Twitter, including a video that showcases the attraction’s sound effects. Plus, you can hear how much the riders are enjoying the coaster, which leaves this reporter feeling a little jealous.

That being said, it seems that Universal is pointing more attention to the coaster once again. The Twitter account just posted a VelociCoaster appreciation post, again creating hype and pushing Guest’s focus to the upcoming new attraction.

Bioreconstruct (@bioreconstruct) even caught a few testing shots yesterday evening of the coaster, however, there were no riders aboard. In the attraction, Guests are expected to go on a raptor run by entering the paddock as Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) would have in the films.
