Universal Hollywood's SUPER New Land Is Coming Along - Inside the Magic

Universal Studios Hollywood is moving quickly on the construction of the new Super Nintendo World expansion. As many Universal fans have already seen photos and videos of the already completed Universal Studios Japan Super Nintendo World, it is great to see that we will soon have one in the states.

And what’s more exciting is that we have some new photos of the current construction of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood to share with you!

We visited Universal Hollywood on the opening day of their limited-time event, Taste of Universal. After the unprecedented year-long closure of the theme park, this event is a step closer to Universal fully reopening the theme park.

During the Taste of Universal event, we were able to snap a few great photos of the ongoing Super Nintendo World construction that is happening on the lower lot.

Below you can see that more green mountain backgrounds have been added, as more of the steel structures are becoming covered as the land takes its shape.

Super Nintendo World is of course based on the Mario franchise of video games, featuring a Mario Kart attraction called, Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge. Mario and other iconic characters will be featured throughout the land — Guests can expect to meet Princess Peach, Toad, Luigi, Yoshi, Mario, and more!

We have previously spoken about what Universal fans can expect from the Hollywood version of Super Nintendo World. Since there is little detail confirmed at this time on the expansions outside of Universal Studios Japan we cannot say anything for certain. However, we do anticipate that USH Super Nintendo World expansion will not have Yoshi’s Adventure attraction due to its size.

At this time, there has not been an opening date set for Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, so for now, fans can enjoy watching an entirely new land be constructed at the theme park!

Hopefully, Universal will reveal more details on Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood very soon. Especially once Guests are allowed to enter the park later this spring and will be able to see the construction from the lower lot as well. We will just have to wait and see!
