Disney is working on some exciting renovations at some of their many Resorts at Walt Disney World. Recently, Disney revealed a look at their newly renovated rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort which are now themed to the animated film, Moana.
Additionally, the Beach Club Resort is currently undergoing some renovations of its own!
Disney recently made some updates to the Yacht Club, which is the sister resort to the Beach Club. I have personally stayed at the Yacht Club since the renovations and can say that the rooms were elegantly refreshed. While we do not have details about how the rooms at the Beach Club Resort may be refreshed, we do have some photos of construction happening at one of the outdoor courtyards within the resort.
These renovations are just outside the lobby, and it is likely this is for the permit that we reported on back in January.
Here is a look from inside the lobby as new curtains have gone up so Guests do not have to see the construction upon check-in.
While you can currently make a reservation to stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, it does not officially reopen until May 30, 2021. The Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Beach Club however are currently open for Guests, so if you are a DVC member you are able to stay at the Resort despite the ongoing renovations.
If you never had a chance to stay at the Beach Club, here is what you can expect from the Deluxe Resort located right next to EPCOT:
Discover the casual elegance of this charming, New England-style Resort hotel. Savor exquisite dining, and explore the pools, lagoons and spas of Stormalong Bay. Sail around Crescent Lake on a rented mini-powerboat, and experience the luxurious comfort of a Club Level Suite. Sharing many amenities with its more formal sister, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is walking distance to Epcot and a convenient boat ride to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Beach Club is a favorite Resort to many Walt Disney World fans. It is home to a wide array of incredible amenities and restaurants, not to mention it is within walking distance to EPCOT — So convenient! The biggest new addition to the resort is the ability for those staying there to access the Disney Skyliner.
The Disney Skyliner is a new transportation system that uses gondolas to move Guests high in the sky to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is another free transportation system on Walt Disney World property!
We are excited to see the result of the hard work Disney is doing at the Beach Club when it reopens for non-DVC Guests this May.
