Today we have an update on the highly anticipated France pavilion expansion that is coming to the World Showcase in EPCOT. The new courtyard expansion will contain a brand-new attraction at Walt Disney World, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
You may know that attraction from Disneyland Paris, and fans are excitedly waiting for an opening date for the Disney World version of the attraction.
Now, we can see Disney is filming right outside of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! Could this be for a big announcement, perhaps on the opening date?
We recently reported that Disney was casting a commercial for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, so it is possible this filming could be that very same commercial. Disney has already confirmed that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening in 2021 — and now, fans are just waiting for an opening date so that they can plan to visit in time for this new attraction to debut.
Here is a look at the filming that was visible from the Disney Skyliner that looks directly down into the new France pavilion expansion. We see this video thanks to theme park reporters @ThrillGeek on Twitter!

Disney has recently opened a portion of the expansion up to Guests. You can see that a walkway leading up to the courtyard is currently accessible, and while there are barriers blocking off the courtyard that hold the attraction, Guests can use the new set of restrooms and enjoy some of the benches that line the walkway.
We cannot wait for the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! Hopefully, we see this new video of the expanded France pavilion at the World Showcase along with an opening date for the new Ratatouille ride very soon.
