alt titles. Take a Super Train to Super Nintendo World/ Let’s a Go! Take a Ride on this Super Nintendo World Train
As Mario would say, let’s-a-go! You can now take a Super Nintendo World-themed train right to Super Nintendo World!
This train is incredible and is part of the marketing for the Super Nintendo World expansion. Despite the grand opening being delayed from its February 4 grand opening due to the ongoing state of emergency in Japan, this train is a bright spot reminding fans of what’s to come.
Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has been soft-opening for Guests sporadically, with various restrictions in place. Some Guests have even been able to ride on both Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure, the two highly anticipated attractions at the Universal Studios Japan theme park expansion. Universal has asked that Guests not share photos or videos online of the land until it has its grand opening, and as of yet Super Nintendo World does not have a new date for its grand opening.
In the images above is a look at the train that rolled out on the JR Yumesaki Line, the train line you have to take in order to get to Universal Studios Japan. It features characters from the Mario franchise that will be featured throughout Super Nintendo World. You can see Mario, Princess Peach, Toad, Goombas, and more!
According to a report by Comicbook.com, this train just went into service on January 27. It is unclear how long this promotion between Universal and JR will last, but we hope that the train is still running with this special Mario-themed exterior when the Super Nintendo World expansion officially opens for Guests.
Can’t travel to Japan to visit Super Nintendo World? Don’t worry! Construction is moving quickly on the Super Nintendo World expansion coming soon to the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in California.
