Credit: DisneyLegendary Imagineer Joe Rhode leaves fans a touching message on his Instagram about his retirement. Rohde has been an Imagineer for the Walt Disney Company for 40 years and was part of the companies most prestigious projects.
While he has previously given interviews about his retirement this Instagram post was much more personal.
You may know Joe Rohde’s work as Animal Kingdom, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Aulani, Pandora World of Avatar, and more!
His creative genius and contribution to the Walt Disney Company will be enjoyed by Guests of Disney Parks, Resorts, and Cruises for years to come.

One project the Rohde is currently involved in with Disney is Lighthouse Point. Lighthouse Point is a brand new private island currently in development for the Disney Cruise Line.
Recently Joe Rohde took to his Instagram and got fans excited for this new private island experience! (Again, follow him on Insta!)
It is unclear how Rohde’s retirement will impact the project. We assume that even though he is retired, he may see the Lighthouse Point project through in a consultant role. Nothing is for certain but we will certainly be keeping an eye as this situation continues to develop.
