EPCOT Construction Update: France Expansion Gets Finishing Touches - Inside the Magic

If you have been following along with the ongoing construction at EPCOT, you are probably excited to see the France Pavilion expansion coming to a head. It is so close to being finished, and we are hoping for an opening day announcement of not only the expansion but the brand new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction as well. We have some photos to share of the ongoing construction at the France Pavilion from one of our Inside the Magic reporters! Let’s take a look at this exciting new addition coming soon to EPCOT!

Before we get started looking at the construction photos, here is another look at the concept art to refresh your memory!

Remy’s Ratatouille adventure attraction will become the anchor of the France Pavilion when it opens with the expansion. The rest of the new area will be a beautiful courtyard, a grab and go food location serving up French treats, and a Remy tribute fountain in the center to bring it all together.

You can see in this photo that some small touches are being done to the lighting in the new area:

We also have added some more images of the area — specifically with some different views of the new entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure with the construction walls down — after our initial publication of this article. Take a look:

Again, Disney has not given an official opening date for this new area. However, we anticipate getting an opening date soon as construction inches closer to being completed.
