This week’s episode of The Mandalorian — Season 2, Episode 6 (Chapter 14: The Tragedy) — had a number of unfortunate moments, but fans have taken to social media to react to what was arguably the most tragic scene of the installment.

Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) ship, the Razor Crest — which has been on all of our Mandalorian adventures with us so far — is no more, destroyed by a single shot fired from Moff Gideon’s (Giancarlo Esposito) light cruiser during the duo’s skirmish on Tython, where Djarin had taken Grogu to find the seeing stone Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) directed him toward in last week’s episode, Chapter 13: The Jedi.

If social media reactions are any indication, many Star Wars fans didn’t realize how attached they were to the Razor Crest until the now-defunct starship was destroyed.

Twitter user Megaer writes:

My reaction to the Razor Crest’s destruction, accompanied by a GIF of Darth Vader screaming “Noooooo!”

Meanwhile, Maria Gabriela shared this meme of Din crying behind his Mandalorian armor. The caption reads:

Mando when he found Grogu’s little ball amongst the remains of the razor crest #TheMandalorian

April writes:

I can’t believe I cried a little over over Din losing his ship rip #razorcrest

Another Mandalorian fan, Clam, took to Twitter to say:

I FORGOT THEY BLEW UP THE RAZORCREST. HOW COULD YOU DO THAT. PAIN.

Finally, Sami pointed out that this year’s Star Wars LEGO advent calendar has added insult to injury, featuring the Razor Crest today. She says:

Was seriously considering this Lego set for my 9 y/o’s big Christmas gift. So glad I held off. Awful timing that the Lego advent calendar today was the Razor Crest…stab in the heart!

For those unfamiliar with the history of the Razor Crest, the Star Wars Fandom Wiki provides these details:
The Razor Crest was a gunship used by the Mandalorianbounty hunterDin Djarin. Prior to the rise of the Galactic Empire, it served as a military patrol craft. The vessel eventually fell into the hands of Din Djarin, who lived and worked from it as he hunted bounties in the Outer Rim Territories in the early years of the New Republic. He used it throughout the search for the child named Grogu, and continued to use it on the quest to find Grogu’s species in 9 ABY.
