The famous Walt Disney World Railroad, which gives you the grand circle tour of Magic Kingdom, has been closed to Guests since December 2018 so Disney could begin construction and make way for the upcoming TRON attraction, located in Tomorrowland.

At this time, Disney has not yet announced a reopening date for the Walt Disney World Railroad, however, when recently looking at the Disney World refurbishment calendar, we noticed something that could possibly indicate a reopening date.
Now, please keep in mind that Disney has not yet officially announced when this attraction would reopen to Guests and this is pure speculation.
As you can see in the screenshot below, on January 2, 2021, the Walt Disney World Railroad, along with a few other attractions, are listed as “Closed for Refurbishment.”
However, as seen in the screenshot below, you can see that come January 3, 2021, the Walt Disney World Railroad is no longer listed, but neither are the other attractions.
Given this, is it possible that by January 3 of next year, the WDW Railroad will reopen at Magic Kingdom? We’re not sure, but we’ll remain hopeful until Disney makes an official announcement.
