This week, Disney World was granted a construction permit for work on the EPCOT World Showcase Refreshment Port, which is located in the Canada Pavilion.
This is a fairly general description and Disney has not yet confirmed if the work that is being done on the Refreshment port is extensive — it could be anything from minor repairs to an entire re-design as part of EPCOT’s extensive reimagining.
The Refreshment Port features this official description on the Disney website:
Take a break from traveling the globe to enjoy a variety of treats—savory and sweet! Sink your teeth into one of the specialty poutines or indulge in a tasty soft-serve ice cream. Refreshing beverages are also available.
The Refreshment Port is sometimes home to the Canada Pavilion’s famous Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, but it is not currently on the menu. Guests who visit the Refreshment Port right now can indulge in a Dole Whip, however!
