Walt Disney World officials have filed six permits for work on Century Drive, where Disney’s Pop Century Resort is located. This is interesting since the company also filed a permit for work on the nearby Disney’s Art of Animation Resort today.

All six Pop Century Resort work permits are for “General Construction.” The addresses are 1150 Century Drive, 850 Century Drive, 1000 Century Drive, 1300 Century Drive, 1050 Century Drive, and 1250 Century Drive.
As you can see, these six Disney World construction permits are all for different addresses along Century Drive. Google Maps satellite view indicates that this could have something to do with work on Century Drive itself and the parking lot at 1050 Century Drive.

“General Construction” could refer to anything from the installation of new street lamps to a complete overhaul of the area. Only time will tell exactly what work Disney World is doing.
The Calic Group, Inc. is named as the contractor on each of Disney’s new permits. Their official website states that they specialize in “delivering cost-effective and innovative solutions to organizations endeavoring in commercial design and construction projects.”
Remember, Disney has not commented on what work will be occurring near Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in the near future. These two Disney World Resort hotels share a Disney Skyliner Transportation location.
