Earlier this week, we reported that Walt Disney World Resort’s famous entry arches would be getting a brand new look ahead of the theme park’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2021.

In addition to getting a brand new royal blue color scheme — to match Cinderella Castle’s recent transformation — the new entryway to the magic will no longer say “Where Dreams Come True.”

Instead, it will feature Disney World’s official slogan, “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

Today, social media users have been showcasing pictures of the start of the Disney World entrance renovation. Instagram user @rundisneyjunkie shared this photo, where the new royal blue background color has started being added!

The dark blue shade is a definite change from the yellow — which is looking rather sun-faded at this point — that has graced the gateways to Walt Disney World Resort for years.

Another Instagram user @disneycoffeeblog shared a photo of one of the entrance arches on their Instagram Stories.

This social media post reads, “Disney gateway sign construction has begun! They’re gonna look so nice.”

It is clear that construction on the signs is well underway, with the addition of bucket trucks and, of course, a Disney World construction crew.

The concept art below of the new Walt Disney World entrance arch aesthetic doesn’t feature any rose gold or pink. But since that is the prominent color on Cinderella Castle these days — and we know the color schemes are supposed to coordinate — don’t be surprised if Disney does decide to “make it pink” once way or another!
