Credit: DisneyWalt Disney World is building a new Star Wars themed hotel called, The Galactic Starcruiser, and today we have a new construction permit for the hotel to share with you!
Currently under construction, this hotel is one project Disney will be moving forward with despite the set back from the global pandemic. This construction permit, which you can view here, is for “set items”, and the contractor for the work is InterAmerica Stage INC.
It is clear that work is moving quickly on the Galactic Starcruiser and we cannot wait to see the finished product!
Additionally, you can check out this construction permit that was filed back in May (also for “Fabrication and Installation of Sets”) as well as this more recently filed construction permit from July.
We also have photos that show the outside of the hotel from just a few weeks ago that show the hotel in its current stage of construction. However, it is important to keep in mind that right now there is no way for us to tell if this work permit is for interior or exterior construction.
On the official webpage by Disney you can sign up to receive notifications for when rooms at the Galactic Starcruiser Hotel become available to book, as well as updates from Disney on the project. Disney has not announced an official opening date for Star Wars: The Galactic Starcruiser as of yet. We anticipate that this could be coming soon as the construction continues to pick up speed.
