Everything Reopening at Disney's Art of Animation Resort Nov. 1

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is reopening to Guests on November 1 for the first time since Walt Disney World Resort temporarily closed in March.

This is big news for fans of Disney animation as well as the Disney Skyliner transportation system, which recently turned a year old. Art of Animation is a Skyliner Resort, which means Guests who stay there have easy access to Disney World’s newest form of transportation.

  • Official Disney Description – Watch some of your favorite Disney films outside in the fresh evening air—located on the grassy area found between The Lion King building and Finding Nemo building.

Transportation Options

• Walt Disney World Buses (available to all four Disney theme parks — EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and the Disney Springs entertainment district)
• Disney Skyliner gondolas (available to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT only)

Big Blue Pool to Remain Closed

It is important for Guests who have plans to stay at Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort in the near future to note that the Big Blue Pool will be undergoing refurbishment. Disney’s official announcement reads:

The Big Blue Pool will be closed for refurbishment from January 11, 2021 through early April 2021. While this work takes place, other exhilarating pool and recreation offerings will remain open for your enjoyment—including Flippin’ Fins Pool, Cozy Cone Pool and the Schoolyard Sprayground.

During this time, it is possible that Guests may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.

While we work our magic, it is possible that you may see or hear construction, but noise should not be heard from your Guest room between dusk and 9:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please know that we are making every effort to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
