Disney’s newest mode of transportation, the Skyliner, is now running at reduced hours for the rest of September. With park hours being reduced it makes sense that the gondola system will not be running as often as usual.
Disney Confirms Reduced Hours
Inside The Magic spoke with Disney this morning to confirm the Skyliner’s hours of operation. At the moment, the below hours are set to run through September 27th. Octobers Skyliner schedule still remains unclear and has not been set, so things may change if you are visiting later.
Skyliner Operating Schedule
Disneys Hollywood Studios
9:00 AM – 8:30 PM
EPCOT International Gateway
10:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Disney’s POP Century / Disney’s Art of Animation
9:00 AM – 8:30 PM
This allows for Guests visiting the parks to have an hour and a half past closing to hop on the gondola. The Skyliner runs 30 minutes prior to EPCOT’s 11:00 AM open time and 1 hour before Hollywood Studios opens.
What Does This Mean?
Everything at Disney right now is subject to change at any moment! But for now, it seems that park hours are definitely set to close at 7:00 PM until September 27th. Considering the Cast Members cannot see a set schedule past that date, even though the Disney World website is showing hours through November, means there is a chance park hours could change heading into October. However, this is just pure speculation and nothing has been confirmed from Disney.
More about Disney’s Skyliner
The Skyliner is a personal favorite mode of Disney transportation! If you are staying at a Skyliner resort:
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
You have the ability to get to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT quicker than ever! Hollywood Studios is around a 3 minute ride from the Skyliner hub (Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort) and EPCOT is under 10 minutes. If you are used to being stuck on Disney busses, the Skyliner cuts out the waiting as it constantly runs, and gives you much more space with its limited capacity. Plus you can see aerial views of the Walt Disney World Resort!
