Now is the Best Time to Stay at a Deluxe Disney Resort

If you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this year, you might consider staying at a moderate of a deluxe Disney Resort. Maybe you have your favorite that you call your home away from home. Maybe you like to mix it up and try a new resort every time. Possibly, you budget your money to spend in the parks instead of at your Disney resort. No matter what category you fall into, right now is a great time to splurge on a stay at a moderate or deluxe resort at Walt Disney World. Let’s talk about why now is the perfect time to pamper yourself with a Disney vacation in a luxury resort. Make your Disney royalty dreams come true in one of Disney’s finest resort hotels.

Limited Park Hours

There’s no time like fall to visit the Disney parks. Right now, park hours are limited so that Disney can do their part to limit the spread of COVID-19. Also, Disney fans can currently attend only one park per day, as park hopping is unavailable at this time. You can access the park hours at Walt Disney World here. But, just because you can’t get your extra magic hours in, doesn’t mean you can’t experience a whole new world of Disney.

If you stay in a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you will never be too far from the magic! Since you will be returning to your resort early in the evening, it’s a perfect time to stay in a moderate or deluxe resort. The Grand Floridian, Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – all these resorts and more have diverse themes to fit the taste of any Disney fan. These luxury hotels provide larger rooms than the value resorts. So, even if you are normally the park-open-to-park-close sort of Disney guest, the extra space will be nice with the shortened park hours.

What About a Villa?

If you would like a more exclusive, VIP feel to your vacation, you could book a stay in a Disney deluxe villa at their deluxe resorts. These villas feel like home, with a kitchen, laundry area, living room, and separate bedrooms. One experience that sounds especially appealing is a stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas in Kidani Village. At Animal Kingdom Lodge, you would have animals nearby to observe and enjoy. Imagine looking out your window and seeing a giraffe enjoying breakfast or a group of zebras paling around.  Any of the available villas would be a lavish retreat for you and your family.

Lounge by the Pool

Most resorts have their pools open and ready for some fun in the sun. Any Disney resort pool will be amazing, but moderate and deluxe resorts boast pools with a spectacular atmosphere. One standout would be the stately pool at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. I love the windmill and relaxing vibe of the pool at this Disney deluxe resort. Keep in mind that the feature pools at Disney resort hotels will operate under reduced hours, but leisure pools are open 24 hours a day. Some resorts are still offering the Movie Under the Stars option as well, so catch your favorite Disney movies at your home away from home after a nice day at the park.

Disney Dining Experiences

Many of the moderate and deluxe Disney resorts offer magnificent dining options. If you are staying at a Disney resort, you could easily reserve a dining time and have dinner after the parks have closed. If you want to dine at a resort you are not staying at, you can still do so as long as you have a confirmed dining reservation to enter the resort. I personally recommend the Kona Café, which is currently the only full table service option at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. They serve wonderful steaks and excellent sushi. It’s close by to Dole Whips for dessert as well at Pineapple Lanai. It’s a great next stop for foodies after Epcot closes for the night.
