It’s been a very strange week or so for EPCOT as it was announced that both the Mary Poppins attraction and the huge refurbishment to Spaceship Earth had been postponed. This was a bit of a shock to the system for many fans of the park who were looking forward to seeing some pretty big changes as part of EPCOT’s 40th celebrations in 2022.
While we are unsure as to what we will get changed in the park by then, there is some good news. We’ve seen construction work continue to happen over in the park over the last few days which means that it would seem that the majority of work outside of the two previously announced changes, seems to be going ahead.
As you can see below, construction walls are still up and the EPCOT construction work is proceeding in certain areas of the park:
There’s still a lot to look forward to within the next 12 months at EPCOT. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure located in the France pavilion is almost finished and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is also set to open in the next 12 months or so (depending on how delayed construction was based on EPCOT’s temporarily closing earlier in the year).

We are looking forward to seeing any other announcements from Disney including things like when we can expect the likes of Spaceship Earth to get the refurbishment or any other EPCOT related announcements.
