Walt Disney World recently just released information regarding certain entrainment upon reopening. And according to Disney, “During the initial reopening period, some benefits may be modified or unavailable”.
One of the experiences that Disney fans have been wondering about is pin trading!
In case you aren’t familiar with pin trading, according to the official Disney website, “Disney Pin Trading is an exciting, interactive experience where our Guests can trade Disney pins with our Disney Cast Members and other Guests. It’s fun for the whole family and CREATES cherished “pin pals” to last a lifetime! Start a new collection or exchange pins for the ones you’ve always wanted.”
Well, we have good (and bad) news for all of you pin traders out there. Let’s dive into everything we know about pin trading thus far.
Disney has decided to modify this experience once the parks reopen. Walt Disney World announced that they will continue to offer Guests pin trading opportunities via the pinboards at select merchandise locations. Unfortunately, Disney also stated that pin trading would be temporarily unavailable during the initial reopening.
We also know that the pinboards will be the only way Guests can pin trade. Cast Members will NOT be allowed to pin trade via lanyards in order to maintain safe social distancing.
According to the new Walt Disney World update:
We will continue to offer Guests the opportunity to pin trade with Cast Members through the use of pin boards in select locations. Cast pin trading with lanyards will not be available at this time to maintain physical distancing.
