Expected to open this winter, Space 220 will be a table service restaurant located in Epcot, which is part of the overhaul taking place inside the theme park.

What Will The Space 220 Experience Be Like?
According to Disney, Disney guests can “dine among the stars at an all-new restaurant that’s out of this world”.
Opening this winter, you can “embark on the ultimate culinary exploration from this new expansion of the Mission: SPACE pavilion. Step inside Space 220—a celestial panorama of a space station—for a delicious meal!”
Where Will Space 220 Be Located?
Space 220 will be located inside Epcot and will be an expansion of the Mission: SPACE pavilion.
What Makes Space 220 Stand Out From The Other Restaurants?
You don’t just enter Space 220 like any other restaurant. In order to embark on your space journey, Disney guests must board a special space elevator that will transport you to the stars. Along the way, Disney installed viewports which will give Disney guests an aerial view of Epcot as you travel high above the planet!
Why Did Disney Decide To Name The Restaurant Space 220?
According to Disney, the Space 220 restaurant is titled that way because the restaurant is theoretically located 220 miles above the Earth’s surface!
Disney says “As you dine, peer out and enjoy amazing daytime and nighttime views of Earth from 220 miles up.”
Will Space 220 Accept the Disney Dining Plan?
According to the Disney website, which you can see a screenshot of above, it looks like Space 220 won’t be included in any Disney Dining Plans.
What’s On The Menu?
Though we don’t yet have an official menu from Disney, we do know that Space 220 restaurant will feature modern American cuisine.
When Will Space 220 Open?
Unfortunately, we don’t yet have an exact date but we can expect Space 220 restaurant to open up sometime in winter 2020.
However, we noticed that job postings on the Patina Group’s website is hinting at the restaurant opening up some time in next month as the job listings have an estimated start date of March 30, 2020.
