Who tops your list for a meet and greet? The newest character to grace Magic Kingdom? A rare find? The big cheese himself? As global Guests make their way to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, Disney execs were helping to grant more than 100,000 wishes just last year. Make-A-Wish requests consist of mostly Disney Cruises and trips to Walt Disney World Resort, but a lovely insight is hearing which characters Make-A-Wish kiddos are asking for. The Disney Parks blog reported on the relative stats for Make-A-Wish kiddos and their most requested character Meet and Greets when visiting a Disney Park.  Let’s see who tops the list!

Any trip to the Disney Parks must schedule a stop to see the boss! While Sorcerer Mickey is a classic choice of garb, Mickey in any outfit is a popular choice. If your family stops over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, they can see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse together in soft safari garb. It’s quite the treasure of a photo opportunity, so gather ’round those Disney Photopass photographers and say, “CHEESE!”

If you’re at Epcot during 2020, stop over to Mickey’s new meeting location near the Imagination Pavilion. You can find our mouse in all four Parks in various locations.

Toy Story: Buzz Lightyear and Woody

If the song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is any indication, these larger than life Toy Story characters are our besties! Buzz Lightyear and Woody rank highly in the most requested Disney character meet and greets. Along with Bo Peep, Jesse, and Rex, Buzz and Woody host the Make-A-Wish kids to amazing adventures at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, making them a top wish pick for a Disney meet and greet.

CARS: Lightning McQueen and Mater

Back in the Day, Guests could waltz around the Streets of New York in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see Lightning McQueen and Mater sitting at the gas station. Disney Photopass was poised to snap you saying KACHOW with these smooth steel dudes. But you’ll have to be at Disneyland Resort today to see our favorite speedsters. A popular choice for a Disney character meet and greet is this best friend duo. Stop into Radiator Springs to see this pair!

Moana

How far will you go to meet Moana? You can find her at some of the seasonal celebrations, but alas, this “Shiny” Chief’s daughter has yet to have a permanent meeting location in any of the Parks. Moana is most certainly a favorite meetup for Wish Kids. Sharing adventures and helping kids with wayfinding, Moana is relatable as a heroic teen. We’d sure like to sing with her at the waterside, too!

Feeling Royal? The best sisters anyone could ask for wait for the Wish kids in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot in Walt Disney World Resort. Grab a warm hug from Olaf in Disney’s Hollywood Studios before setting off to greet Anna and Elsa. These Disney Princesses (known to be Queen!) would top our list.

Our Favorite Disney Character Meet and Greets

Two Workers at Princess Fairytale Hall

We asked around in our offices and it’s clear that our editors agree with this list!  We’ll have to insist that Princess Fairytale Hall is added because inside is a chance to meet two Disney Princesses at once! Pick up a FastPass to the other side and greet yet another two in speedy fashion. While many guests are dashing to the Mountain coasters, families with small kids may enjoy a first stop to see the Royals here!

Any Star Wars fan will have to make their way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios where they can not only greet the Dark Side essentials like Kylo Ren and Darth Vader but also Jedi pals Chewbacca and BB-8. Rey also wanders Galaxys’ Edge to help Guests scout against the First Order.
