Business Insider just reported that Build-A-Bear Workshop, the popular store known for their build-your-own stuffed toys and their collaborations with Disney, is coming out with a Baby Yoda-themed plush. We don’t know about you, but we couldn’t be more excited!
Here’s what Build-A-Bear spokespeople had to say about the newest Star Wars-inspired plush toy coming soon to the stores:
“I’m excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined,” Build-A-Bear CEO Sharon Price John said during the Tuesday presentation at ICR Conference in Orlando. “We now have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda.”
Business Insider also shared this photo along with their report. In the image below, you can see John holding up the Baby Yoda plush. If you’re familiar with Build-A-Bear plush toys, they are typically quite large. So we’re pretty happy to see that this Baby Yoda seems about the same size as your average Build-A-Bear teddy bear — and perhaps around the size that Baby Yoda would be in real life?
Take a look at the image of the Baby Yoda plush below — it’s not the best quality, but we’ll share more images as soon as Build-A-Bear releases them:
The Build-A-Bear spokesperson also shared that the Baby Yoda plush has been in the works for quite some time (almost as early as when episode one of The Mandalorian aired on Disney+), and it will be available for purchase from Build-A-Bear Workshop sometime in the next few months, though we don’t yet have an official release date.
“It’s great, again, to be in business with best-in-class partners,” John said. “We started this process almost with the first episode.”
We’ll keep you updated when we know more information. For now, we’ll be watching closely for a release date and re-watching all the best Baby Yoda scenes from The Mandalorian.
Think you’ll purchase the Baby Yoda plush from Build-A-Bear as soon as it launches? What do you think of the Baby Yoda merchandise Disney has released so far? Let us know in the comments!
