While it might be known as one of Walt Disney World’s most unreliable attractions (even the slightest drop of rain causes the ride to go down for a few hours), Test Track at Epcot is still one of the theme park’s staples.
The attraction is essential riding given how much is closed now while Imagineers work on the future of the park and Disney has revealed that the attraction will soon be closing for a month-long refurbishment.
If you’re planning a trip to Epcot in early 2020 it’s worth assessing your dates if you’re a fan of the attraction. It’s set to be closed from January 13 through February 26, 2020, meaning you don’t have long left to design your car and hit the Test Track before the closure.

While Disney hasn’t revealed any official word on why the attraction is closing, we suspect this to be part of a routine refurbishment. The likelihood of seeing any big changes as a result of this refurb is relatively low. Expect perhaps a new lick of paint in places as the only noticeable change.
It’s not unusual for Disney to close big attractions during January and February as the parks do tend to be a little quieter after the busy holiday season.
Of course, with all the work going on at Epcot already, a big attraction such as Test Track being closed for a month will certainly impact wait times across the park.
We also know that at some point, Spaceship Earth will be closing for a large refurbishment to make way for the huge updates to the park that were announced at D23.

As for other new experiences, we also have Guardians of the Galaxy, Ratatouille, a Mary Poppins attraction and coming very soon, Space 220 restaurant.
