Since the news broke that Marvel president Kevin Feige is producing a new “Star Wars” film, fans around the world have been speculating that Brie Larson might be cast in a leading role. And to further add to the Larson-“Star Wars” rumor mill, the actress took to social media.
Larson, known for her role as “Captain Marvel” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to Twitter on Thursday to share a photo of her holding a lightsaber and posing in a Jedi robe next to C-3PO, along with the caption, “Did someone say Star Wars?!” Take a look:

This may be the first time Larson commented on this rumor in particular, which is fueled by reports that Feige already has someone in mind for his new “Star Wars” film (and he apparently already contacted them and said he wants to cast them).
Many fans assumed that Larson would be Feige’s pick for a role in his new movie, which makes sense considering that like Feige, Larson is a pretty big “Star Wars” fan. She was spotted at the grand opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, the largest single-land expansion that Disney’s first southern California theme park has ever seen. Larson was seen having a blast all around the new land and shared her enthusiasm on social media:
She has also shared other photos of herself as a Jedi, and we have to say it looks pretty believable to us:
To top it all off, Larson even confessed her love of “Star Wars” in an interview earlier this year. She said that while filming “Captain Marvel,” Samuel L. Jackson brought his Mace Windu lightsaber to the set, and she even got to hold it.
“He brought it to me on set on May the 4th, and I cried,” Larson said. “It was so cool. I wanna be a Jedi.”
It seems like Larson is a “Star Wars” superfan like the rest of us. And if Feige is, in fact, eyeing her for a role in his new movie, it doesn’t look like she’ll be opposed.
