In case you didn’t already know, this year marks Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, and Disney Parks will be doing everything they can to celebrate the icon of all icons. A series of limited-time celebrations have been announced for Disney Parks all around the globe.
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will celebrate the milestone from November 16 to 18 with special merchandise and food and beverage, as well as a chance for Guests to celebrate at Magic Kingdom Park during the “Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It!” Street Party, sing “Happy Birthday” along with the Dapper Dans on Main Street, U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., and join a particular birthday dance party at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland.
At Disneyland Resort in California, a celebration cavalcade will be held for Mickey Mouse on November 18 featuring some of his special friends and the Disneyland Band, starting at “it’s a small world” and pausing for a special moment at Sleeping Beauty Castle before continuing down Main Street, U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., to Town Square.
The party will continue at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort when World’s Biggest Mouse Party comes to both resorts in 2019. Disney Cruise Line will also join in on the fun when World’s Biggest Mouse Party takes to the seas in that same year.
Shanghai Disney Resort will be the first Park to kick off the World’s Biggest Mouse Party when a brand-new Mickey-themed float is unveiled at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Tourism Festival on September 15. A giant birthday card will be installed next to the “Storytellers” statue, featuring birthday wishes from Mickey’s pals. From November 16-18, Guests can enjoy exceptional food and beverage, merchandise, and the opportunity to sing “Happy Birthday” to Mickey each night before the nighttime spectacular. Then on November 18, it will all culminate with a special nighttime birthday spectacular at Enchanted Storybook Castle.
The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will come to Hong Kong Disneyland on Mickey’s birthday, November 18, with commemorative Park tickets, exceptional food & beverage and merchandise, a hotel room overlay, and “We Love Mickey” projection show through February 2019. Guests of the Park on November 18 will receive unique birthday stickers.
Tokyo Disneyland will celebrate the occasion with unique decorations and merchandise. The World’s Biggest Mouse Party will come to Disneyland Paris with new holiday season entertainment and special surprises this fall.
With so many celebrations across the Disney Parks, Mickey’s 90th anniversary is sure to be a magical celebration.
