Another surprising event has happened at the Walt Disney World Resort, signaling the beginning of a new era at the parks in Orlando, Central Florida.

Disney’s Lightning Lane system has undergone multiple changes, now offering three tiers: the Lightning Lane Single Pass, Multi Pass, and the Premier Pass. While the Single and Multi Pass options allow guests to book attractions individually or in sets of three, the Premier Pass grants one-time access to all Lightning Lane attractions in a single park. However, this convenience comes at a steep price, reaching up to $450.

Originally, the Premier Pass was restricted to Deluxe Resort guests, but Disney later expanded access to all visitors. Despite its high cost, the pass has proven extremely popular, consistently selling out during peak holiday periods like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Magic Kingdom saw a 10-day consecutive sellout over the Christmas and New Year holidays, demonstrating strong demand for the park experience.

What’s even more surprising is that the Premier Pass has sold out on non-peak days, including an unexpected sellout in January. Most recently, the pass was unavailable for purchase over Valentine’s Day weekend (February 14-15), despite the holiday not drawing crowds comparable to major seasonal events. This suggests that guests are willing to pay for convenience regardless of the time of year.

Now, a new consecutive sellout for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass has occurred, almost matching the record set over Christmas and New Year in 2024 and 2o25. According to reports, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is now sold out for nine consecutive days from February 11 through February 19, priced between $329 and $399.

It may not be the new highest price–that was $449 during the holidays–but it’s still surprising nonetheless, mostly because of the out-of-season period. It’s true that spring break is right around the corner–and new data suggests it could be another big one for the parks–but a mid-February sellout can only be a good sign for Disney, who say they are still “learning” how to utilize the pass.

Disney has not disclosed how many Premier Passes are available per day, but frequent sellouts indicate strong demand. The continued strong performance of the pass could be attributed to fewer passes available–the Multi Pass and Single Pass are still available for the same dates–and the fact that the Premier option is now open to all Walt Disney World Resort guests, not just those staying on property.

At Magic Kingdom, the pass covers top attractions such as TRON Lightcycle / Run, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Jungle Cruise, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, reinforcing its value for visitors looking to maximize their time in the park.

It should be noted that there are some big names missing from the list as 2025’s refurbishments get underway. At Magic Kingdom, attractions like Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland are currently out of service.
