A report by Focus Taiwan stated that sixteen guests were trapped in mid-air at the Janfusun Fancyworld theme park in Yunlin County, Taiwan.

The theme park reportedly stated that some facilities stopped operating at around 1 p.m. on Friday due to an unstable power supply. This included the thrilling roller coaster Diving Machine G5, which left sixteen guests stuck 30 meters in mid-air.

Emergency crews responded to the theme park crisis immediately and reportedly rescued all guests within 15, according to a statement released by Janfusun Fancyworld. The statement added that, fortunately, no injuries resulted from the unexpected malfunction.

Janfusun Fancyworld emphasized that all rides, attractions, and facilities undergo regular inspections to ensure the safety of all guests and employees.

Unfortunately, these incidents are not uncommon in theme parks worldwide.

Last month, 20 guests had to be rescued from the 120-foot-tall Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure, triggering a temporary closure of the popular roller coaster. Fortunately, no injuries were reported following the rescue, and Incredicoaster resumed operations later that day.

Breakdowns are more common than one would like to think at Disneyland’s Incredicoaster. However, the thrilling attraction has also been shut down by guest behavior, as was the case for a young girl who forced an emergency stop before being escorted off the roller coaster.
