Many Disneyland fans (including myself!) are anxiously waiting for Disney to fully reopen their gates to residents outside of California. Not only will they welcome even more Disney fans back to the parks soon, but Disney is also in the works of refurbishing Disneyland and Disney California Adventure attractions.
Many of these temporary closures are due to an ongoing refurbishment of the Matterhorn Bobsleds and ensuring Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is safe to explore in the pandemic-era with current restrictions in place. We recently reexamined the Disneyland Resort theme park refurbishment calendar and wanted to share another Disney attraction that was added to the Disney refurbishments list — this one is located inside Critter Country.

Another closed Disneyland Attraction
Besides Matterhorn Bobsleds and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, we announced that Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is closed for the time being, and the famous Jungle Cruise attraction is also closed for some major changes and reimagined scenes.
Along with this long list of unavailable attractions will include The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction located inside Critter Country. Disney Guests will be able to follow along with Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood if they are visiting the Disneyland theme park soon, but not for long.
This ride is set to start refurbishments on Monday, July 5. At this time, it’s unclear how long the temporary closure will last, but Disney hasn’t announced any major changes coming to the attraction.

Winnie the Pooh Adventure Attraction
Based on our favorite “Winnie the Pooh” stories by A.A. Milne, this Disneyland attraction called The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh takes Disney fans of all ages inside a humongous beehive cart and through a Winnie the Pooh honey pot filled dark ride adventure as Disney’s website states,
Get lost in the pages of A.A. Milne’s classic tales as you glide through Pooh’s most memorable adventures. Board your beehive and get swept up in a gust of wind with Piglet, Gopher, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo. Band together with Tigger and friends to stay afloat in a torrential downpour.
Celebrate sunny days and togetherness as Pooh finally gets his paws on some honey. This visual extravaganza filled with classic Disney songs is sure to delight cubs of all ages!

Although The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh may not be the most popular ride in Critter Country and in comparison to Splash Mountain it is unfortunate to Guests who are visiting the parks that Disneyland has to close a number of some rides down (even for routine maintenance) when Disney Guests have waited so long to ride them.
Not to mention, Disneyland is very busy at the moment and there is a lot of pent-up demand due to the California Disney Parks having been closed for over a year. As more Disney fans are filling up theme park reservations on the Disneyland website, this would be a perfect time to open more attractions to eliminate huge wait times.
We have to keep in mind that Disney Imagineers and Cast Members continue to provide excellent service and are doing what they can to ensure attractions are safe to ride while giving Guests a more immersive experience with updating the attraction. Take Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, for example.

Keep reading Inside the Magic as we will continue to report more changes and updates on Disney attraction refurbishments this year.
