Yes, according to the data trackers at SensorTower, the Disney+ app was downloaded more than any other app in Quarter 4 of 2019. Over 30 MILLION times. Disney+ easily outpaced TikTok downloads at a rate of 2:1. It recorded more than three times the downloads of Netflix and almost six times as many downloads as Amazon Prime Video.
According to SensorTower, Disney+ earned the title of “Number 1 App” in Apple’s App Store. It was the first time in four quarters (~a year to the date) that Youtube did not reign supreme. But Disney+ didn’t just dethrone YouTube. It crushed the video giant by earning almost twice as many app store downloads. Meanwhile, Netflix barely makes the Top Five.
Out of its 31 million downloads, more than 18 million came from the app store, with nearly 16 million being specifically for iPhone use rather than iPad. You can see the full results here:

Disney+ Sets Google Play Record
Disney+ recorded more than 12 million Google Play downloads. According to SensorTower, it is only the second app in Google Play history to pass 10 million. Apparently, no app has surpassed 10 million app downloads in a single quarter since Facebook released Messenger back in 2017. And on Google Play, Netflix doesn’t even make the Top Five.
