This year is shaping up to be as busy as ever for Star Wars, with new comic books, novels, video games, animated shows, and the franchise’s first theatrical release since 2019’s Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker. Here are all the major entries coming in 2026.

2026 will be no exception for Star Wars when it comes to video games. There are two major titles coming up, and both already have official trailers.

Star Wars Zero Company

Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based, strategy and tactics video game in which you can recruit a squad of pre-made and custom characters to battle your opponents. In between missions, you can develop a base of operations and deploy informants to both familiar and new locations across the galaxy. The game takes place during the Clone Wars.

Watch the trailer for Zero Company below:

Per Star Wars.com, “Command an elite squad through a gritty and authentic story in Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. Set in the twilight of the Clone Wars, you will step into the shoes of Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads Zero Company – an unconventional outfit of professionals for hire hailing from across the galaxy.”

Star Wars Zero Company is developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Electronic Arts’ Respawn Entertainment and published by EA and Lucasfilm Games. The game will be released later this year, according to the trailer which says “coming 2026.”

Star Wars: Galactic Racer

In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, players can relive the thrills of podracing — the faraway galaxy sport introduced in Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace (1999). The game features iconic planets like Tatooine and never-before-seen ones where racetracks — some legal, some of them unsanctioned — have been purpose-built for your podracing adventures.

You can also choose from multiple repulsorcraft classes, customize your build, and unlock new abilities on every turn.

Galactic Racer isn’t the first podracing game. You might remember 1999’s Star Wars Episode I: Racer, the video game based directly on the sequence in The Phantom Menace. Two other podracing titles followed – the 2000 arcade game Star Wars: Racer Arcade, and the 2002 sequel to the Episode I game, Star Wars Racer Revenge.

Watch the trailer for Galactic Racer below:

“The Empire’s grip on the galaxy has finally broken, and with its fall comes a new obsession: speed,” the official synopsis reads. “As the New Republic struggles to rebuild – gambling, entertainment, and glory fuel a booming underground. Out of this chaos, the Galactic League is born: an unsanctioned racing circuit where syndicates sponsor pilots, fortunes are won and lost in seconds, and only the bold survive.”

It adds: “At the heart of it all is Shade, a lone racer with a dream of glory and revenge. For Shade, the League isn’t just a race; it’s a shot at reclaiming destiny. But standing in Shade’s way is Kestar, a ruthless rival who has his own power-hungry plans for the League. As the Galactic League rises, so does the rivalry that could define it. Shade must forge alliances, outpace rivals, and survive long enough to become an elite racing pilot.”

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode. The game is also set to launch this year.

The faraway galaxy has no shortage of upcoming tie-in media such as comic books and video games. This year, there are three major Star Wars novels hitting shelves.

Eyes Like Stars

Written by Ashley Poston and announced at the Lucasfilm Publishing panel at last year’s NYCC (via StarWars.com), Eyes Like Stars is a young adult story that takes place a year and a half before Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens (2015) and follows two original characters navigating love, mystery, and the shadow of the First Order. It releases on July 21.

Star Wars: Legacy

The panel also revealed Star Wars: Legacy, a new novel by Madeleine Roux set between Star Wars: Episode VIII — The Last Jedi (2017) and The Rise of Skywalker. The story follows Rey and her Jedi Master, Leia Organa, on a quest to repair Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber, and with it, the fractured Jedi legacy. The book releases on July 28.

Reign of the Empire: Edge of the Abyss

There’s also Rebecca Roanhorse’s Edge of the Abyss, the second entry in the Reign of the Empire series. It follows Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and Saw Gerrera 13 years after the events of The Mask of Fear. It arrives September 15.
