Jurassic World Rebirth (2025) enjoyed dino-sized success at the box office this summer, during which it devoured $865.6 million worldwide. Directed by Gareth Edwards (2014’s Godzilla, Rogue One) and written by David Koepp (Jurassic Park, The Lost World), the film stars Scarlett Johansson as covert ops expert Zora Bennett, who’s tasked with leading a mission to a third InGen island to retrieve life-changing DNA from three massive dinosaurs.
But Rebirth also had a mission of its own: to undo the events of its predecessor, Jurassic World Dominion (2022). Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World trilogy-topper saw dinosaurs flourishing all around the world after several species were released into the wild in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018). But the latest installment retcons those events by explaining that the animals are now dying out due to the planet’s ecology no longer supporting them.

Another Jurassic World Sequel Is Already On the Way
This storytelling decision, along with the new film’s many other problems, from its poor screenplay to weak characters, left many frustrated. Fortunately, there’s light at the end of the tunnel for those fans, as another sequel set for release this year is set to continue with the dinosaurs-gone-global premise. The fourth season of the hit animated Netflix series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will see “The Nublar Six” teens — Darius, Kenji, Sammy, Brooklynn, Ben, and Yaz — head to Biosyn Valley in Italy’s Dolomites, as seen in Dominion.
Now, the official teaser for Season 4 has been revealed:

The animated side of Jurassic is a proven success. Not only does Season 4 mark the ninth entry when you include all five seasons of Camp Cretaceous, it has generated successful toy lines and other merchandise, while Bumpy the Ankylosaurus has appeared in the walk-through attraction Jurassic World: The Experience, which features animatronic dinosaurs.
One particular standout detail in Chaos Theory Season 3 is how its events interweave with those of Dominion. Characters such as Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt in the Jurassic World films) be heard in the background during certain scenes; however, the series also brought back familiar faces from the 2022 movie, such as Soyona Santos (Dichen Lachman).

Soon, Season 4 will take us back to Biosyn Valley, with the short trailer above teasing a return to iconic events such as the showdown between the T-Rex and the Giganotosaurus.
But the question is, will the likes of Owen, Claire Dearing, Maisie Lockwood, Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, and Ellie Sattler make appearances in the upcoming final season? Previous seasons — including the five Camp Cretaceous entries — featured plenty of secondary well-known characters such as Dr. Henry Wu, Lewis Dodgson, and Barry Sembène.
Whether or not Bryce Dallas Howard, Isabella Sermon, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern would lend their vocal talents, though, is another matter entirely. Wu, Dodgson, and Sembène are voiced by Greg Chun, Adam Harrington, and Evan Michael Lee, respectively, in the series, and not by the film actors BD Wong, Campbell Scott, and Omar Sy.

When Can I Watch Chaos Theory Season 4?
Chaos Theory stars Paul-Mikél Williams as Darius Bowman, Darren Barnet as Kenji Kon (previously portrayed by Ryan Potter), Sean Giambrone as Ben Pincus, Kausar Mohammed as Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoula, Raini Rodriguez as Sammy Gutierrez, and Kiersten Kelly as Brooklynn (voiced by Jenna Ortega in Camp Cretaceous seasons 1 — 5).
The final season premieres on Netflix on November 20.
More Jurassic World Sequels Are Coming

Jurassic World continues to go from strength to strength, with more sequels beyond Chaos Theory Season 4 and the inevitable Rebirth follow-up (though it’s currently only rumored).
This October, the third entry in the “Jurassic World Evolution” series hits shelves. The game will allow players to create and manage their own dinosaur theme parks in locations such as Hawaii and Japan, and will see the return of Jeff Goldblum narrating as Dr. Ian Malcolm.
Another upcoming video game is the first-person action-adventure “Jurassic Park: Survival”. While there’s no release window yet, Universal and Saber Interactive recently unveiled a behind-the-scenes featurette that dives into everything from the gameplay to the dinosaurs.
