The Most Wonderful Time of the Year at The Most Magical Place on Earth is looking a little different these days. This week, Walt Disney World Resort installed construction walls on one of its year-round holiday stores, Days of Christmas at Disney Springs.
Disney’s Days of Christmas is just one of Walt Disney World Resort’s 24/7/365 Christmas shops, alongside Die Weihnachts Ecke (The Christmas Corner) in the Germany World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT and Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom Park. Guests can also buy Christmas ornaments and other holiday decor at merchandise locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resort hotels.

Still, Days of Christmas is by far the largest of the year-round holiday offerings at Walt Disney World Resort. While guests can still shop at the Disney Springs merchandise location, the store looks a little different lately. According to WDWNT, construction walls recently appeared around the building’s exterior.
Light blue construction walls surround the Disney cast member entrance to Days of Christmas. A temporary green “Disney Springs” barricade prevents guests from approaching the construction walls.

Construction walls and green “Disney Springs” barricades also block a set of wooden stairs leading up to the second floor of the Days of Christmas building, which is never accessible to guests. Crews appear to be doing minor refurbishments, like painting, on the merchandise location’s exterior.
Walt Disney World Resort’s website shows that Disney’s Days of Christmas remains open to guests. The store typically has the same hours as Disney Springs, but sometimes the shopping and dining district stays open later than some of its merchandise locations. Check the My Disney Experience app or the official Walt Disney World Resort website for the most up-to-date operating hours.
Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort becomes a winter wonderland as soon as November hits. Stunning decorations brighten the Disney parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa becomes a real-life Christmas village with a life-size gingerbread house where guests can purchase cookies and other festive treats. (Unfortunately, this year’s gingerbread display is canceled due to lobby construction.)
Guests can also purchase tickets to late-night special events, including Disney Jollywood Nites at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. These after-hours events include shorter attraction wait times, exclusive entertainment, rare character experiences, and festive snacks for everyone to enjoy!
