Universal Studios Florida is turning the page to an exciting new chapter in 2025, bringing back two entertainment heavy-hitters that thrilled guests last year. CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular and the Universal Mega Movie Parade are officially returning, giving parkgoers even more reasons to stick around past the rides and attractions.

These two shows wowed audiences in 2024 with massive production value and plenty of fan-favorite film moments, and the performance schedule for this year shows Universal is doubling down on what worked.
Nighttime Spectacle “CineSational” Sets Spring Return
After wowing crowds with its blend of music, fireworks, projections, and drone technology, CineSational will once again light up the skies over Universal Studios Florida beginning April 14. The show will run nightly through April 24, then resume for select nights on April 26 and 27. From May 22 to August 24, it will run continuously each night at park close.

The show uses cinematic scores and high-tech visuals to transform the park’s lagoon into a theater of light and sound. Last year, the drones were temporarily pulled from the show following a separate incident in downtown Orlando, but they’ve since returned—with new features like Princess Peach drones from Nintendo’s growing influence at Universal.
Behind the scenes, crews have been prepping the lagoon for the relaunch, and with updates already confirmed, CineSational is set to deliver even more immersive movie magic in its second season.
Mega Movie Parade Returns With a Star-Studded Lineup
Universal is also bringing back its Mega Movie Parade, which made waves last summer for its over-the-top floats and film tributes. Starting April 12, the parade will perform daily through April 24, then return on various dates from late April through mid-November.

Major appearances include the Jurassic World raptor paddock and Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1 vehicle, which made their debut last year. With technical rehearsals now complete and production polished, this parade has earned its place as a must-see for guests.
It’s more than just a character march—it’s a storytelling experience in motion, celebrating Universal’s legacy with the kind of energy you’d expect from a major studio.
Could “Universal Mega Movie Summer” Be the Next Big Event?
Universal recently filed a trademark for “Universal Mega Movie Summer,” a move that has sparked speculation among fans. While it’s unclear exactly what the event will include, it’s likely to be built around these two shows. If a full-scale summer event is in the works, we could be looking at themed food, pop-up merchandise, extended entertainment, and interactive experiences.
Combined with the opening of Epic Universe in 2025, Universal Orlando could be shaping up for one of its biggest years ever.
